disabling day-time running lights?

i wanna disable the daytime running lights in my truck. i just put some aftermarket headlights in and they have that halo ring. i want only the ring to come on when i start the truck. right now my projector light comes on dim as well and it kinda takes away from it.

Pull the plug on the module. Its located on the fender near the brake booster. After you pull the box, you will loose the high beam indicator untill you can jumper the high beam relay output to the dash light indicator. I have them jumpered on mine, but wiring to the box may differ a tad on your truck. Do a search on it, there were some posts on more recent models. I have a pic in my gallery of the jumper.

I sometimes run around with the marker lights on without the daytime headlights............you can do this by applying the e-brake 1 click, works great, they don't come on when the e-brake is on.
1 click should not cause the brakes to drag.
