I have a d.d. true torque power module.<br>My truck smokes like a train <br>Not too concerned for me, but it's only time b4 D.O.T gets me<br>Dmv has a diesel emmissions squad and next year I hear they are gonna make us smog our trucks <br>And this week I'm gonna tow my 5er to San Francisco.<br>Good poss. of a cop messing with me there :P<br>So there are 3 settings inside the box<br>3- most responsive (for trucks without injectors or if smoke is not a concern)<br>2- decreased low boost fueling ( for trucks with true torque injectors)<br>1- timing only<br><br>I have it set on 3 now. My EGT's stay down to under 1200* even when towing.<br><br>Should I try 2 with my stock injectors ???<br>If I go to 1 (timing only) Diesel dinamics says I will still get my extra 50hp. [undecided]<br><br>Is that possible :<br><br>What should I do ???????<br><br>HELP please

 

Why dont you call DD? I'm sure they can tell you what to expect. <br><br>And they can make you smog your truck. Its grandfathered. They can only make you smog a truck made after the law was passed. But they can enforce sound laws and I did hear that CA was going to try that. I believe the limit is 95db. <br>Someone is always making new laws.

 

I have heard that the DDUFM Drag version or whatever is a good box for modded trucks with lots of smoke. I heard if you get the their version you also get rid of the defueling. I don't know a whole lot about the box anyone with experience can chime in with info please!
