DI/PRICOL or AUTOMETER????

I know it's probably more a personal preference than anything but I'm looking at either buying a set of Autometer from Macs RV in FW or ordering a gauge and pillar kit from Dieselmanor.com.
Macs is more expensive $325.00 but I can go pick it up myself or I can order online for 275.95.
Has anyone used the 3 gauge pillar from dieselmanor and if so how well did it fit? Can anyone think of a reason to pay $50.00 more for autometer over DI/PRICOL?
thanks

I have DiPricol boost and fuel pressure gauges and an Autometer pyrometer. I like the DiPricols at night because they match the dash lights (green) but the Autometer is easier to see during the day (the DiPricols have a glossy lens on them whereas the Autometer does not). But the glossyness is NOT a problem, just something I notice every now and then.

I bought the Autometer first, but if I had to do it over I would have bought DiPricol everything.

I did not buy my gauge pod from DieselManor.

If you are going to BOMB your truck, I would stay away from Autometer. The reason I say that (my opinion is based on what I researched a year ago) is the 2 1/16'" gauge ranges are not for our trucks. Boost only goes to 35psi, where I wanted 60psi. Fuel pressure only went up to 15psi, where I wanted 20psi but only could find 30psi. And if you could find the correct range you would have 3 different models (cobalt, phantom, etc) and even harder if you wanted mechanical. Autometer could have changed their ranges, havent looked since I don't need more gauges.

hope this helps some, Pat

I bought the dual pod a-pillar from diesel manor and it fit perfect.
I went with the Isspro gages because the look matched the dash gages and with blue over green bulb covers the lighting matches the dash gages perfect. Also I bought the triple pillar from them and intalled it in my dad's 94, no problems.

Hmm I just got an email from Dieselmanor. which states;
"The kit will require you to buy all of the wiring components, and obviously you need all of right tools. There is a new product from DiPricol. PN: C100660. It is a wiring kit for 3-gauge installations, Pyro, Boost, and Trans. Price is 29.95. Don't have it up on the site yet because we only have 1 sample. But it will give you everything you need to do all of the wiring. We have them on order."

I guess I need to call Macs and see if all of the required wiring comes with the kit he is going to sell me.

Got the fuse splicers from autozone, already had the connectors and wire, the Isspro pyro kit came with thermocouple and leadwires. Got the paint from dodge.

I have autometers ultralites. Boost 0-60, pyro 0-1600. No complaints at all. Made in the USA. Good looks, color is real close to stock with the green condoms on.

Check out PDR and geno's.
