Looking at this picture, I cant see the exact difference between the DV's. Im looking at the full cut, is the shoulder just completely machined off the main shaft or are the four grooves cut longer and deeper into the saft as well?

The shoulder is just machined off, that's all.

 

So if I removed my DV's, put them in the lathe and turn the shoulder down all the way to the diameter of the main shaft, they would be exactly the same as a set of full cut DV's? Nothing else required here? I am assuming I would notice a large increase in EGT with this modification. Why do the .022's have a pointed tip where the 131's look short and stubby?

schoust where did you get your 022 dv's and how do those comare to 191's or full cuts as far as fuel?
