Yes. The EDM's are worth the extra money. Less smoke, better driveability. Power comes on smoother and not as sharp as an extrude honed injector.

Depends on what you feel is worth more? EDM's smoke less that is worth more to me all day long!

I run DD3's with no box, just boost fooler and MBC...

It smokes just a little when you stab the throttle - by this I mean, a small puff - same as the small puff I see at startup.

I have no idea what these guys are talking about "EDMs are smoother than the DD3s" - um, I get no surging or anything I would call "not smooth."

I also logged 24mpg on a recent empty trip to Indy from Omaha - made the entire stretch on one tank of fuel.

DD3s are fine - maybe these guys are talking about EDM/DD3s when you've also added electronic trickery, like a fueling/timing box?

We say they run smoother because when you install them as soon as you fire the truck up and it gets the air out the EDM trucks idle smoother and quieter. You get a much smoother running engine and more linear power if you don't have a box I doubt you will see the same type's of results with smoke etc as guys with.

One thing I *did* notice: the truck ran only slightly rougher when I first installed the DD3's and there was more smoke than with the factory injectors - however, a few months later I bought new batteries - and had the power disconnected for a good 45 minutes - when I restarted the truck, it was back to smooth as stock. Plus I got back some MPGs that I had lost after the swap. Still had the power, the computer just seemed to adapt to the injectors after being reset.

No hijack, no worries!

Like he said, Manual Boost Controller. On my truck (I know it differs based on model year) the wastegate signal is a rubber hose that goes to the intake. So you can use a cheap ball & spring valve in that signal line so you can select the pressure that the wastegate opens up at...

We took the truck to a dyno shop and selected the boost that made the most power with my combo. Later a friend made me a boost fooler to keep the computer from seeing the extra boost and cutting timing at 2700rpms. So I'm hoping that I'm around 300 RWHP and 595ish ft-lbs - I need to get back to the dyno shop and see...

I went from DD3's to Mach 4's.

The Mach 4's make more power, and the truck runs better around town. Low end responce is much improved over the DD3's...it is almost like I installed a cam.

You will love the Mach 2's.

I personally recomend the Mach 2.4
