computer and spedo recalibration

Since switching to the 35's my spedo and trip computer are off. Is there a way to recalibrate the system so that I can get accurate milage readings again?

The service rep can do a speedo recalibration for a nominal fee or you could buy a superchips or hypertech programmer and do it yourself and get a little extra Hp to boot for a few bucks more.

If your in decent with the Service Dept, or just find a good dealer, they can change it in a matter of seconds. A local dealer here let me hook up the DRBIII and got my ECM software number and allowed me to change tire size. Its under ABS menu, have to select "other" then enter in a number 400 to 900 ....you'll need your tires RPM before you go.

A buddy of mine has an 03 w/leveling kit and 35s. He told me he was going to get the hypertech programer to fix his speedo. I talked him into holding off, have the dealer fix the speedo for a small fee and get an EZ instead. more power and all. He talked to local dealer and they told him that they could not adjust the computer that much, maybe an inch or so was max?

If they told him they can't do it then they dont know what they are doing. Find a differant dealer. You can change it, but you need to change the revolutions per mile or RPM. 35" tires are usually around 596 RPM.

any body know what the rpminute of the engine drop is after re setting for the wheel size? talkin H2 swap and reset to 600 rpmile.... going to go in and get flashed this week and also reset the speedo. I am also hoping that the tire setting will drop my 70 mph cruise speed about 200 rpm so I fall into the "better "
fuel economy range of right around or below 2,000. thanks.
