Hey Phil are you running studs? I think I will be heading towards Orings in the spring that is unless they can straighten these gaskets out or figure out just what the problem is? Phil is that gasket the same as the Cometic mls??

14mm studs a requirement? must be due to the clamping force needed for the gasket. Wonder what those 14mm's get torqued to and what kind of distortion that causes in the head and block if any. Sounds like a lot of torque.

Yes, I'm using the 12mm scheid studs and their MLS type gasket.

ive decided to just run the truck to see how this thing is going to work. test dummy i guess. Ive been running it pretty hard so far with no problems yet. the shop didnt do any machine work as far as the block goes. cleaned the block and head up REAL good, copper spray, and we put it back together.

Was done

Did not like 65-70 psi
I don't believe it will be a substitution for o-rings

kawi600, have you been happy with mass diesel? I am about 2 hours away from you. I was thinking about sending my head out to him for o-ringing. My twins will be here in about a month.
