coments on Edge Comp Box

I was looking into purchasing an edge comp box. I have 4'' exhaust, cool air intake, and a holset turbo with 35cm exhaust housing. Would the comp box be a good combination with what I have already?

depends on what you plan on doing next.. If you don't plan on say .. a Smarty.. then the comp will be nice because it does timing and fuel.. but if you want a smarty down the road.. the best power comes from a TST/Smarty stack.. where the TST does all the fuel, and the Smarty does all the timing. I currently have a Comp box.. and love it.. alot of extra power out of it..

I have the edge ez on there right now but the power is getting old and I want more. I have an everyday driving truck but if a rice burner pulls up next to me I want to leave it in a cloud of smoke! After I get a box I will be getting some injectors any suggestions on that?

if you do the comp upgrade, your also going to be lookin at tranny upgrades (vb and a tc)

and when you throw injectors into the mix, your going to have to upgrade the turbo.

So, if i were you, id set down now and decide how much hp you ultimatly want. Then id build the auto tranny to hold that. After that was finished, i would deside the best way to get that hp.

Find out your hp goals, and we'll help you get there

No. It wouldn't be a bad replacement though. A fueling box such as a tst or blue chip would work with your ez. I'd recommend trying sticks instead, such as the 1.6 mentioned above, then move onto the tranny. If you still want more then do a turbo and a fueling box next.

But before you start adding fuel you're going to want to be sure you have guages mounted and make sure your fuel system is up to snuff.

yeah.. asking us now is the smart way to go about all this.. you really need to think about what you want as an end result.. i didnt do it that way and its costing me extra money.. i've just been replaceing things as i break them. ;x But that was before i knew what i wanted.. First it was the edge box.. then injectors... then turbo.. on my 3rd tranny now (killed two stock 47RE's) .. Now i want to go twins.. and i got lucky that i chose the HTB2 62/14.. because it will work just fine with a B2/S400

nothing with just the edge box.. tho you'll need to watch your EGTs when you have the comp box turned on 5x5.. If you end up getting injectors later on tho.. you'll want a bigger turbo to keep up with that fuel..

The reason I'm asking is because,my buddy has a Ford F-250 with a 97'
12 valve cummins conversion and he was the one that suggested and got me
the turbo after my stock went out

Maybe it was the proper turbo for my truck at the time that it was installed. It
would be a shame to have to replace a thousand dollar turbo though.
