Also happens with my comp box as well. This has happened for the last two years starts doing it in about 30 degree weather. Mine will occasionally work if I shut the truck off and restart it. I sent it back to edge and they didn't seem to find a problem. Many others on this site probably have the same problem I would guess. Not just users of the drag comp are effected. My comp and friends drag comp are doing the same thing. His drag was purchased brand new this summer.

I believe it is a safe method that is built into the Comps. I know the Juice w/ Attitudes have a setting where it won't apply the extra power until the truck is at a safe operating temperature.

When I first got my regular comp it worked fine at any temp then I sent it in to get upgraded to the drag comp last winter and when I got it back it would not work in cold weather so I sent it back and edge sent me a new one and it works in cold weather with no problems .So I would say if yours does not work right in cold weather that there is something wrong with it .

Actually it is a well documented problem on another site. Version 8.0 is having cold start issues in both standard and drag models. This thread started back in January 07. A new thread started up about a new version, I believe it is 10.0 or 10.8. The bummer is the first report indicates that the cold start problem still exists.

My drag comp is doing the same, it won't start until my truck is warm. And then only if I shut my truck down and re-start it. I have version 8.0.

Look at the label on the bottom of your Comp. It will give the manufacture date, model and version.
