Coaxial Cable Through Fire Wall?

Is it ok to run the coaxial cable from my CB through the firewall then back to the bed of my truck where the antennas are...I have heard that the heat from the engine can distort the signal in the cable...what do yall think?

Should be ok to do as long as you route it away from the heat source and oil. Make sure you use a grommet at the firewall.

Put my cable thru gromments that where already in the fire wall. C B cable, egt gauge tranny temp wire and boost gauge tube. Some gromments you can slide extra wires along side of them. Mine are all on the left side of the steering column as if you where siting in the truck. Have had no problem with heat.
waam Holland, Mich. Bought my last diesel fuel in Bristol Ind. on March 29 for 2:11 a gal. Still got one tank left.

98, auto? You should have a large plastic oval plug in the firewall where I think the clutch mechanism would go. It's where waam said it was; driver's side, near the steering column. You can see very clearly from the engine bay.
