i am running the con ofe, which is rated at 450 hp, i am over 500. and it holds fine. i would call peter at SBC 1-800-988-4345. tell him your usage, power, and future mods. he'll steer you in the right direction. then order it from the dtr store 304-952-6896 and talk to Lary.
you'll really like the clutch.

that is a single disc 4 or 6 puck 'racing' clutch for under $700. u-huh. i would not spend my money on something like that. if you want a good single disc for trailer towing and everyday driving under 500hp, go with a SBC ofe, if over 500 and occasional misbehaving go with an FE, if you are really gonna hammer down, tow trailers, race, and make tons of power, get the sprung hub dual disc. at least give peter a call and listen to him.
if you look at the majority of the folks running clutches here, or on any site, they are running some form of south bend.

Give Dan at ValAir a call, he is a great guy to deal with and has very nice clutches. They are much better priced than others and will hold like no tommorrow, I am somewhere right above 400rwhp (I think) and I have NEVER slipped mine... It is also smooth enough in 1st gear to tow a very large trailer without destroying something

I currently have the Southbend FE in my truck, my only regret is the fact that I did not go with the dual disk right off the bat. So now I get to do it again
Peter's clutches may be a little more money but it is definitely worth it. His customer service is awesome and will spend as much time as it takes on the phone answering your question with no obligations involved.
Call Peter and talk to him and listen to what he has to say then call Lary at the DTR store and he can hook you up.

I am a true member of the "Hard Learners" club . I tried to save some money by going with a Luk Pro Gold clutch 13" upgrade. I had a good 40k mile run with it. I recently bought the Southbend Dual Disc 3250 with the sprung hub.....awesome clutch! It is smoother than I ever thought possible & the pedal feels stock. Call Peter at SB.....he'll steer you right & supply service after the sale.....unlike other suppliers.
