CLutch reccomendations?

I know I have read threads on here about this but I can't seem to find any of them.

I am looking at having to replace my transmission and if it has the small input shaft then I will have to get a new clutch to go with the updated larger shaft.
If I have to replace the clutch for an nv5600 which would be a good choice? I pull a trailer (about 3-4K lbs) nearly every day. I would like to run the Diablo Puck and have some room for a little more power. I want something that will hold up for many miles if I keep the truck for a few more years.

Thanks

I had good luck with the Mcloud until i broke my input shaft and messed everything up, it was the dual disk street, but i stayed with the small input shaft which was a dumb decision on my part but at the time i had a small student sized income...

I have a South Bend Con OFE and I don't tow everyday, but when I do tow it is fairly heavy, my empty trailer is 5000 lbs.

Yours not only has the small input shaft, but also has the smaller 12.25" clutch. Under no circumstances would I put the smaller diameter disc back in.

If I upgrade everything from the smaller components to the larger components, do I need to buy a new flywheel as well??

You should have a 1 1/4 input and a small flywheel you will want to go to a bigger input and flywheel 13" valair for me.

ha ha so I guess valair or SB has the split vote. This "repair" is going to be $$$$!! Hind sight is 20/20 but I now know that I bought the truck from the one year I should have avoided. Oh well, after all this is upgraded I just need to find a D80 with disc brakes and I'll be in business!

Do your research before you purchase is all I will say. (word is if you get a bad Valair, you get an SBC anyway.. )

I went ahead and got a SB...best choice I've ever made, I abuse it a bunch and not one issue so far!!! (you may have to upgrade yer hydraulics) I used to purchase by price alone but I've long since learned you get what you paid for!!! I had the "rebuilt" tranny out for replacement after 10k, (DON"T BUY FROM SOUTHERN DIESEL PERFORMANCE!!!...PM me for details) there was virtually no wear on the clutch or pressure plate!
