Re:Clear cab lights

Just an IDEA for you guys but here is what I did to my CHEVY several years ago...

Get clear paint, add a drop or two of your truck color to it, scuff the light lenses lightly, and shoot them with the new paint. They will be the color of your truck but be the right color at night....

Looks SWEET!

Re:Clear cab lights

Note:
I would advise against this if you have a Dually.

DOT regs require the clearance lights to be yellow.

Re:Clear cab lights

One must make sure they are well balanced too. Nobody needs one light stronger and faster then another...it'll send the truck in circles. :'( I gotta quit typing the word truck...I slide into a depression.

Re:Clear cab lights

What I used was a clear coat by PPG. It only takes, Literally, a drop or two of your truck color to give it the translucent color you want. At night they glow the color of the lens that is under it...

Re:Clear cab lights

I have searched high and low for them with no luck. If anyone finds them please let me know. I finally found a set of clear front corners for the sport that fit perfectly. They came from procarparts.com and fit and finish if factory. I just finished replacing the side marker lights on the truck with clear ones I found.

Re:Clear cab lights

i have to look at them a lil bit but im conemplating changing mine out for a ford or gm style light. When we got the truck we had no need for the marker lights and i just dont like htem haha. So what im wanting to do is change out the amber lense with a clear one and put some rainbow strob( the rainbow is hte gfs idea and who knows maybe il go with it) Like i have in the head lights. I have little led lights that turn them diffrent colors, red blue green orange purple yellow( no there not the same bulb) and it doesnt really project the light either itj ust makes the light itself glow that color. who knows. Are they changeable?

I dunno about the marker lights, but I want to hear more about what you've got going on with the headlights.
