Boost elbow or J-hook. Not exactly sure how much more you'll get. But you may want to get a small box (edge EZ or the like) to get some more pressure out of it. More fuel = more boost

Vice Grips on the silicone hose, or wire the lever tight so it can't move, or remove the brass elbow that connects to the silicone hose and replace it with a 1/4" brass pipe cap for 2 dollars at your local hardware store.

OR.... buy adjustable boost elbow for twenty bucks on ebay that has an adjustable set screw so you can adjust boost pressure.

Didn't your Quad box come with a brass boost elbow for the turbo? It should have unless you bought it used. If not, get one, problem solved.
Or you can just put in an 1/8" pipe plug and leave the wastegate hose disconnected.

Just use turnbuckles on the wastegate. That's what I did with mine, raised it about 8-10psi....just by doing that.

automatic truck will need the j-hook or turnbuckle, the manual trucks use a boost elbow between the turbo body and wastegate diaphragm.

No a 98-2000 automatic will not use the J hook or turnbuckle. They still used the brass elbow like everything else.

You simply install a boost elbow on the front of your turbo like this:

You can turnbuckle any turbo with a wastegate actuator arm. So yes, you can turnbuckle 98-00 auto stick or whatever.

Now common sense is to do what is easiest. The advantage of a boost elbow is that you can adjust when the wastegate opens, with a turnbuckle you entirely prohibit it from opening. I have my wastegate entirely blocked because my exhaust drive pressure was blowing it open around 26 psi boost intake pressure.

The best way is to get a $15 manual boost controller off of ebay or build one. You want to make sure you have one with a relief vent so boost does not get trapped. I use one on my pulling tractor and it works great. All there is too it is a spring loaded ball with an adjuster screw behind it. You plumb it into the wategate hose and it delays boost to the accuator. You could use that with the turn buckle adjustment to get a little more.....over 30psi.

Why do you need to control the boost with an adjustable elbow?

I put a set of hose clamp pliers on my hose and blocked it off completely and build 30psi. Take em' off when I don't need it. Cheap pliers like that can be bought at the zone or similar places. Mine are $40 matco pliers.....don't know why I used them, lucky they did'nt fall off.

Check out Jobe performance. They sell a nice dial-a-boost system for about 150 and it works awesome.
