Changing injector nozzle
Changing injector nozzle
I currently have all my injectors out but im trying to figure out how to hold the injector and turn a ratchet at the same time, those nozzles are tight, do I use a vice script? what do I use to hold it while I turn the ratchet?
a piece of flat bar in a vice works, not sure on the size, 1/4"?
i used a boat trailer that had some c channel. i just stuck it on their and broke it loose, becareful.
if you warm the engine up they come apart easier, just put the cap that holds the injectors into the engine in a vice and get a 1/2in rachet, i cant remember what size socket but hold the body tight so it wont slip on the cap
yeah its fun pulling injectors on a warm engine
Yep, just put the cap in a vise upside-down and hold the injector down on it tighly while turning with a wrench or ratchet. Go slow once you get it broke loose and make sure you are on a clean surface so you dont loose any parts.
Its very easy, just a little time consuming. Well worth the $ saved in buying the tips IMO!
