Here's one place to look
www.exportradios.com

It'll give you an idea about what's available.

The other is check your local Yellow pges for a CB/Electronics shop in your area.
(Not Radio Shack or Circuit City)

Re:CB'S

Never have been a CB'er but I am a ham. Power is OK but if you want performance get the best antenna you can afford. Then get it tuned with a SWR as close to zero as you can on the frequency you will be using the most. I prefer a roof mount as this gives me a good reflector etc. Make sure the feed line is properly gounded at BOTH ends. Use quality feedline and quality connectors.
As for types and brands, you will have to check with the CB'ers.
I have a uniden CB and it has doen fine for me. It was the smaller vershion but I have found it to be very easy to place in my truck and it is easy to reach when I need to turin it on/off or use the mic.
DM01

Cobra is the choice of many truck drivers they make a good radio...I have a Cobra with weather band its very usefull when traveling...a power mic helps with moduation...its best to buy from a local cb shop Ive found if you buy from a local shop they will tune your SWR free

Re:CB'S

Galaxy is the way to go.
I have one along with my Pops and we have had good luck with them. GET A GREAT antenna though. DO NOT spend all your money on just the radio.
