I think most are putting it before the turbo , and some are putting after { lower temps} not what you want to be looking at , higher temp you want to monitor , so that means in the exhaust manifold just before the turbo, and off center , [ there could be a cast webing in center] , then some guys are & some are not removing turbo , [ to avoid metal shavings getting into turbo] then the ones that gamble like I did leave turbo on , but I put a magnet on a small hose and put in hole with wire inside the hose to get to go were I wanted to get the metal out. If I was better at using the system I find a pitcure , maybe someone will add that.

Hey John I think he wants Boost not Pyro
For the boost you can tap into the inlet horn or I removed a big pipe treaded plug in the intake manifold above the L/P and bushed it down to the littte hose.

think he said boost gauge???? & the easiest way I have found is by using one of the replacement bolts that goes into the intake, that's hollow & threaded fo the brass fitting, I'm sure someone else will chime in on where to find them, Dusty

Geno's garage or Pier's has the boost bolt. It works great.

Boost bolt is the simplist way.
If the gauge came with a fitting, why not take a 1/2 hour and remove the intake horn to drill & tap the intake?

You have a 2001, just wait and get the Piers bolt, makes it TOO easy. Pop out one of the bolts and replace it with the Boost Bolt, plumb the rest of the line to the gauge and your done.

Tap into the intake on side of block by fuel filter housing, your kit should have come with a few different size brass fittings(if not just find the right size to adapt), one will fit into existing hole, without need to drill anywhere.

That's the easy way. The plug on the manifold behind the fuel filter takes a 1/2" square ratchet extension to remove.

Where are you guys finding this "Boost Bolt" on the Geno's site? I don't see it under the Gauge Fittings subcategory. Also, does the tubing necessary to do this kind of installation come with the ISSPRO gauges, or do you have to buy it separate (if separate, what kind of tubing should one use)?

If you buy the guage direct from ISSPRO, no, if you buy the gauge from a reputable dealer, then it should come with everything you need to install it, but ask to make sure.

The 98.5-2002 24 Valves have that 3/4" plug, it is very easy to adapt down to the 1/8" or possibly 1/4"NPT size you need. It is a nice clean install and is out of the way.

Same here- a couple of bushings from an auto store and there's no need for drilling
