BHAF--omigosh!

Ordered my BHAF Thursday noon from www.fleetfilter.com. Amazingly it was on my doorstep Friday afterwork--fantastic service!

OH MY GOSH!! That is one GI-NORMUS HONKIN' FILTER! Connection was easiest thing I've ever done to the truck--besides insertinging the key into the ignition. The previous owner had used an oil-coated K&N, so I had expected to find the hose with a film of oil, but it was actually clean and dry. Checked the turbo blades and they too were clean. QUESTION: Does anyone have the constructin specs for building a "divider/spacer" between the BHAF and the turbo? I saw a link to a guy's website a few days ago, but it's no longer working. ...gotta update my signtr now...

go to the technical section, I think there is an actual size diagram you can print out and use as a template. Or maybe search for BHAF.

Search "BHAF heat shield" There should be some thing out there. They are on EBay for $50? or so. Easy To make. There is a template on here some where.
Just print out, tape together, the trace on steel.

I am looking into doing the same thing to my truck. Using a BHAF from fleetfilter. Do you still have the part number of the one that you used and did it fit your stock tube?

You'll need a short piece of 4" pipe to use as a coupler between the filter and stock air tube.

I have it on mine, keeps that paper protected a good bit better than without.

I don't think the paper is at risk unless you occasionally take water over the hood.

I use the AH19004. No prefilter needed.

You can also drill a hole in the end of the filter and put your filter minder in it. I did.
