Re:BHAF

If'n you can afford it, just go straight away to a Scotty II. You won't have to worry about a heat shield at all and CooOoOOl air is way better.

Re:BHAF

I was thinking about getting the Scotty but I heard that it doesnt do much for stock applications. So I was considering the AFE Mega Canon and the more I look at it, it looks like a BHAF. Spend less for almost the same thing.......I think. Am I wrong? If so please tell me.

Thanks!!!
Luis

AFE and Scotty used oiled filters.

BHAF is a dry paper filter.

Both the AFE Megacannon and the Scotty II claim to flow better then the BHAF.

All depends on your preference.

Me, I think I'll stay away from oiled filters,
just my preference.

If Scotty could find a paper filter to fit the Scotty II, I'd go for that option.

phox

Re:BHAF

Paradise, correct me if I am seeing things, but does not your signature state "no mods YET". Hmmmmmm. OK then, yes, Scotty II does not do to much for unmodified engines, but.........if you modify.......... And BTW, Megacannon and Scotty II almost the same price, around $195.00 both using AFE oiled filters. Do it once and do it right, just my humble opinion.

Re:BHAF

I'll agree with Racer57.
"No Mods Yet" won't last long.
As an added plus, the Scotty II will help more while towing, than those who are running empty.
Do it once, do it right.
Scotty II on order. ;D

Re:BHAF

Take it from me I switched FROM the MegacannonTO the scotty 2 and couldn't be happier. I lost at least 200 degreese EGT off WOT over the Megacannon and with both holes cut I have found that on a super hot day when my megacannon would produce a slight haze at WOT my scotty 2 keeps my fuel burn cleaner.

Re:BHAF

I was just thinking and I had a light flash on for a sec but then it burned out [undecided]
But maybe if we could place a big order of BHAF filters then we could maybe get a discount maybe ???
DM01

Re:BHAF

At $50 bucks a filter, I think the next filter will be the Scotty II. It'll save me $$ in the long run. Plus, I don't want to go through the hassel of making a heat shield.
