Working on getting a 2000 VP44 truck set up to pull in the 2.5 turbo class and was wondering what would be the best turbo for that class. Right now the truck has an old HX40 (Piers) that I put on quite some time ago. I think that it works pretty good but what would be better?

For the 2.5 class, you can run a 65mm compressor. There are places to order custom S400 turbos with billet 65mm compressors but they are $$$. If you go with the non billet 65mm, they can be found for less than 1K but spool slower and don't perform as well. If this is your daily driver as well, I would run a 64mm S300 variant from HTT or II. Something like a 64/71/14 or 13SS would be a great daily turbo but still be semi competitive in the 2.5 class.

 

Yeah as said if your going to drive on the street alot too, go with a 64/71/14 or a 13ss. But if more of a puller only look into a S465 custom
