Best CPU/CHIP/PROGRAMMER/BOX ???

Ok guys let the debate begin....

Whats the best CHIP, CPU, PROGRAMMER, POWER BOX OR WHAT TO MAKE 75-150 SAFE HP???

Got gauges, got exhaust, got BHAF w/ heatshield, and I don't want to start breaking stuff.

I do some towing...[whistle]

I highly recommend the MAD ECM.:D

G-NOTE,

Comp box and 275RV injectors, you will need trans and or clutch upgrades if you go much over 80-100 HP. We sell the Comp and injector combo here all the time with great results.

100 hp and up aint totally safe on the rest of your drivetrain whoever makes it.
Any of the programmers (Comp/TST/ect) that give 150hp are pretty good from what I have read but I can only comment on the Comp personally but you must understand just how much extra power that is. You have to be careful with any of them as you just efectivly added 75% to your driveline strain. Just a Comp without towing will kill your stock clutch if your brain isnt hooked up to the go peddel. Just my .02

My vote goes for the Comp and FWIW, my stock clutch has been working quite well with it and seems to put up with hard, high rpm 2nd gear launches on 5x5. I like the Comp over the others because of the range of adjustability. If smoke control and emmissions aren't too much of an issue where you live, then a Comp coupled with the Comp-compatible MAD ECM would be the ultimate set up.

i vote for the comp! excellent box:D

The MaD ECM only adds 30-40hp and about 60lbs of torque, but I'm told that it enhances driveability to an amazing level even without stacking. As for the higher HP boxes.... clutch first or you'll be sorry.

Where did you get your information regarding the Hp/Tq numbers? I can tell you from personal experience that the Mad ecm will kick the stuffing out of the EZ box.:D I saw a dyno sheet where the Mad ecm added over 60 hp and about 170 ft lbs tq.

So what if I start w/ a MAD ECM can I stack later???

Can I add injectors at any time???

Mike D 08-16-2005 01:46 PM

From my understanding if you're going to use a box, use one that adds fuel only. You can add injectors at anytime.

G-NOTE 08-16-2005 01:51 PM

What are the specs for the MAD ECM???

What doe's it add???

Mike D 08-16-2005 02:00 PM

I would hate to tell you something wrong, but from everything I've read. It adds timing, has different fuel curves and gets the most fuel out of the IP within stock limits.

Here's the thread with the dyno chart posted by Bob Wagner.

I've heard the Redline box stacked with the Mad Ecm is loved by pulling crowd.
