Bed mounted auxiliary tank

I'm looking to add a bed mounted auxiliary tank to my '99 shortbed and have been looking at units from Tractor Supply, Northern Tool, etc. Any words of wisdom? I don't have as many options available to me because of the shortbed. Thanks!

Theres a company that makes tanks that hug the bedsides and are formed to go over the wheels, I cant remember the company name though. You can also get a toolbox fuel tank which is a good idea if you can give up the bed space. You might be able to get plastic tanks to fit in the corners in front of the wheels.
On my truck I need the whole bed so Ive had to start modifying tempo marine plastic tanks to fit under the truck. you can fit 12gal 32"x10"10" tanks in four places under the cab and in front of the leaf springs, as well as one large tank in place of the spare tire if youre creative.

I've heard good things on the RDS tanks that Northern tool and others offer. I have a bed mounted tank for my WVO conversion. I picked up a used marine 74 gal. fuel tank for $50 works excellent!! Althought if there was DOT approved "fuel" in it, it probably would not be legal, but its just where I keep my old cooking grease ...

Wow, thanks for all the ideas! I'd totally forgotten about the 'saddle' tanks, those may work best for me with my limited bed length.
