I just put up some pics of the BD VP44 pump cover, if your interested in one check them out easy install and look great.

Could I use that even though I have already tapped the wire?

I think its too late.....the DC mechanics are trained to look for even the smallest piercing of the pump wire.

yea and even if warrenty is not a issue I would not want to perce into the wire to many times could cause more resistance in it, unless you replace the whole wire and start over.
