Shorter gearing (numerically higher) has an effect similar to raising stall speed-- which is the opposite of what you want.

TQ multiplication of a torque converter is a function of the load applied to it. 3.54 gears apply more load (for a given engine HP) than 4.10s, and thus get more multiplication from the converter.

I have a powerpack also on a 2000 and I love it. The truck pulls alot harder than it used to.

 

Hey Mountaineer, What kind of boost numbers are you seeing? Also what is the blue chip accessory that is listed in your signature? Is it something that can be stacked with the ottomind?

 

It hits 42 psi . The inj.pump wire tap is through Blue Chip pump cover.
