Ball Joints

Why doesnt anyone make aftermarket balljoints for the 2002 Dodge Ram 2500? Or maybe I cant find them? I am doing the hub conversion this year, and while I have it apart I wanna do the ball joints. I really wanted the Dynatrac units. Why is it they make for every year Dodge but for the 00-02? Has anyone called them? Maybe I should? I think my g/f is getting me a new steering box and steering shaft for xmas, so balljoints is all I will need for a whole new front end. Believe it or not even with always runnning oversize tires and over 140k on the clock, I have no wobble in my front end. I just believe in preventive mantiance. Thanks again for any help.

I still think I am going to do a 3 inch body lift on my truck, just needs to be alittle higher still. I will have to fab some stuff but thats ok. I asked her for that too. lol. I hope Santa is good to me this year.

Thanks for any help on the balljoints, I really dont wanna go with Moog, I know alot of people do, and have great results. I might not have a choice.

I've heard "XRF" as a good name from lots of folks, not sure where to get them or who makes them.... I've had good luck with Moog. 100k on one side, plowing and 33x12.5's for a few months out of the year. Other side has another brand, need a lower (rather, both) after about 60k.

I have always used Moog then switched to XRF to try and solve a wandering issue and it made a huge difference.

I got mine from O'Reilly auto...They are Master Pro house brand...I know, I know...eeeeeekkkk!!!!

Well, they are greasable, carry a lifetime warranty and have lasted me over 40,000 miles with no play or problems yet. IMO just as good as Moog or the rest, but to each his own.

just did Napa chassis line. life time warranty and they are greaseable. I'm happy with them big diff from the worn out set that I was driving the last 20k miles prior. it would be nice to find someone like Carli that has done alot of R/R on the ones they have for 3rd gens but I was shocked on the price of those. those are built for hard fast bumps, I dont drive like that so I'm happy with my 45$ napa parts.

My balljoints, tie rods is all still stock, 140k on it. I plowed snow with my truck for 4 years, and have had 35 inch tires on it since I the day I picked it up at the ***********. So I guess I got a really good one. Or I am just lucky. I have the Thuren Fab full heavy duty steering kit already, its just not on yet. I am saving up for the hub conversion and figured if its all the way apart I am putting in new balljoints on too. I like the XRF ones, I guess if Dynatrac( I am going to call them to see if they are going to make some) or Carli doesnt make them for my truck by the time I am ready I will go with XRF ones. Thanks again for the help guys.
