Exclamation B2 or HT3b

What are the differences between a B2 turbo and a HT3B turbo? if any?
I thought they was closely the same? and also alot like the shw. S400.
I have looking into twins for about 5 or 6 months now and i have been looking at the super 40 and HT3B setup but i was wondering if i could just go ahead and get the 40 and a B2 so when the funds allow i could upgrade the 40 to maybe a B-1 or PS 62 but i wasnt sure if there was a difference between the two (b2 - HT3B)
Any help is appreciated thanks alot

The rotational direction of the two turbos are opposite of eachother. Some people say that it is easier to build the cold piping for a B2 set than HT3B because of this. Also some vendors say that the B2 will outflow an HT3B and spool as good if not better, and if you go to a B1 or PS62 from an HX40 you will have to redo your hotpipe because their exhaust outlet is different ... Their are lots of people with very high HP rigs on here that are running an HT3B primary charger, they are good just not as new of technology as a B2. Oh and a S400 and B2 are the same thing Hope this helps ya man...

The 3e that I have spools great with a 22 cm exhaust housing on it. When I'm at 10 lbs of boost it is making 3 already. The 3e and the 3b are almost the same just a hair smaller shaft on the 3e I was told. I just bought a b1-b2 setup so we will see how they compare on spoolup.

holsets are not antiques, but the ht3b is a turbo that has been around for a long time and they come in many different sizes and up grades. they make them brand new today with the latest wheel designs and enhancements. i have had some that had 68mm inducers and others that had 78mm or so inducers. the one on my truck is in the 2.9" range if i remember right and has a map width enhancement slot in it. i would stay away from any that don't have the slot, they are of a old design.
