I have that type of ball in my truck. I love it. It does not get used much since we now lease our ground to a guy that has time to get up there and cut the hay and get the cows moved around. Its 250 miles away from were I now live.

The biggest thing I can add is to keep the dern thing greased up if you dont use it much. After a year or so, mine gets kinda difficult to turn back up after being folded down.

Don~

At times I wish my gooseneck ball was a fold down but mine is used most of the time. when I had it put in the turnover sytle was about 100 more then the stand up one. But if dont use the gooseneck ball much then I don't recommond a fixed stand up one.
Get a turnover ball.

I haul water in a 250gal tank and I have to buildup around the ball to have a flat surface for this tank. Plan in the you know what.
;D I got the B&W with the Companion 5th whl. Do like it but since I run empty 1/2 the time,I do have a security cable wound thru it all to keep everyone honest. Take a good man about 5 secs to clean the bed. Think the cable was about $10. Lock should be a good one. Same cable and lock I use on the bike when in less than secure area. Have fun with the hitch.
