Question Autometer Guages?

Ok... Here we go withe guage questions! (Yeah this is a old mute subject)

The pyro guage is not to much of a problem - install it PRE-TURBO and get a 0-1600F* guage with probe...

Boost Guage - Is a 0-35 PSI good enough for a stock turbo and stock engine? At the most I might chip it later.

Fuel Pressure? - Here is the heated one for me. I only finding 0-15 or 0-100 in autometer. Ok... There was someone else that used a boost guage for this purpose. Did you plumb stright to the guage or did you use a isolator? What other hardware do I need to install the fuel pressure guage using a boost guage from autometer? I'm also seeing people using needle valves?

It's time to hit the BIG BOYZ up for a little bit of knowledge!

I used a Autometer 5404 mechanical 2 5/8 boost gauge as per the tech at Autometers recomendation( he thought I was mounting it in a cup on the cowl, NOT in the cab) Its worked great for a couple years now. The other parts were a needle valve in the top of the fuel filter canister and a 5' piece of 1/8" SS braided teflon hose conecting the two. Simple setup thats worked for me. No needle vibrations even with the needle valve wide open but a measure of security if there is a problem. If your running a stock fuel system the 15 PSI fuel gauge should work fine. Just make sure the gauge you get is a MECHANICAL LIQUID FILLED one or it wont last.
