has anyone had trouble out of the sending units on the electric fuel press gages from auto meter (mines a z series 0-30psi ) coming home friday fuel press droped to 0 scared me a little got to messing with the trottle and seen it raise a drop a little then went over ruff pavement and it came back for a sec then back to 0 so yesterday i tore into it checked voltage going to gage with key on truck not running showed 12.6v and had no real restiants on the ground so i fired it up and taped on sender and it wold go up to about 5psi then back to o im going to order a new sending unit and see but if there are normal prob with these i will go mechanical with it

sorry threads so long as well i only have about 40k on the gage

electric senders are failure prone. Verifying with a mechanical guage will tell you what you need to know.

I went though two Autometer and one S-W senders before I gave up and went with a mechanical gauge.

My opinion is fuel senders don't work on a diesel engine.
What good is a gauge that fails more than the system it's supposed to monitor?

no problemw ith mine in about 20k here...but i run a REALLY big line so the pulses from the VP are kept to a minimum which most people say cause the early deaths of the electric senders
