Are there any step by step instruction for cheap performance mods? I see alot of sugestions for upgrades but really no step by step instruction. Looking for simple to moderate mods that are reliable and will not trash my stock trans and or turbo. Just purchased a 96 4x4 12 valve auto. Thanks all.

 

I would say 1st off , that the auto is past its max as is .
Then next 1st is gauges , especially with stock truck , you need this info to know whats / what and to keep under limits , to keep from doing damage .
As far as a single source for doing the several mods [ cheap or adjustments ] , is doing searches on the forums , here & else where , for a few reasons , some are opinions or many on either side of some of the mods/adjustments .
But one good point is learning about the engine / truck , then making a plan , what you may end up doing , many get started and turn there truck into a toy [ not an everyday driver ] .
The point being , this can save you repairs & efficiency .
I have not seen too many single source of adjustments , mods .
Mostly thread that have one or two .
I've thought that would be a good thing is a chart with one heading saying what you can safely do with what truck & mod , then the mods .
This is part of that but more would be cool to have .
