Allison trans
Allison trans
Well I did it. I bought a Ally from a wrecked o1 Gm.
I will be converting it to a Allison 2000 which will change the gearing and possibly converting it to a 6 speed (haven't decided)
The gearing will be as follows;
1st 3.51
2nd 1.90
3rd 1.44
4th 1.00
5th .74
opt. 6th .64
I'm using the kit from Destroked. The change that are needed are as follows;
Adapter plate
fly wheel
ford starter
harness and computer (works with EFI live)
clocking ring for the Transfer Case
linkage
All of the drive shafts and linkage will line up and does not have to be modified and the stock cross member is retained.
It also comes with switches for tow hall etc.
I will provide picks as the job gets done.
