My buddy gave me the cold air intake from his 01. After I got it all home, tried to install on my 98.5 and it don't look like it's gonna work. Best I can tell is it's the 75-10072 and that's supposed to fit 94-02. The elbow/plenum from the box hits the back of the alternator, and not by just a little. Anybody have any ideas? Maybe I'm missing something here. Was there a different elbow whether you have a AT or 5 spd.?

 

Installed 3 of them and I think one fits all. 2 were 98.5, one auto and one six speed. The other was an 01 with 5 speed. Don't remember anything being different on the models or the type of transmission. Can't imagine what would be wrong, hope someone is more help than I am.
