AFC spring kit
I see these kits for sale and was wondering what effect do they have on the truck. Is it too help low end power of what? I was also wondering about arm adjustment on the plate.Mine is set right above the bottom nose on my #10, If You lower it down level with the nose does this give more fuel or less fuel?
Thanks,Randy

The 215 hp pumps definitely benefit from the AFC spring kit.. The softer AFC spring allows for more full travel of the AFC cam and finite adjustment of the starwheel. With the stock spring the clicks on the starwheel are alot of adjustment with respect to the boost vs. fuel.
I found it was a nice compliment to the #10 plate. However I did not adjust the lever arm as I didn' t want to adjust the torque rise, 1500 RPM is good enough. By lowering the lever arm to the bottom you have moved your peak torque up so that you reach full travel on the plate later in the RPM range, probably 1800 or so.
For the $50 for the kit, it made adjustment easier and the fuel comes on nice and strong, not jerky.
