if you are in the custom tunig menu the box wont run how you set it untill you exit out of the menu, i set my timing to 10 pump stretch to 2200 my min can tps down to 10 and my max to 70 and it will pen you back in the seat hard this thing is scary responsive, just play around with it you will find what you like.

i drove the truck a little last night with max 10* scaled to 85% pump stretch 2000 on a comp tune.
after driving it for a while on pl10 idont know if i like it? it has alot of down low but top end is kinda lazy.
compared to comp tune w/2000 10* 100 timing scale which i think is pretty linear on power.

quad can you draw me a pic or something so i can see how the graph is when you scale timing?
im trying to do 3 different tunes for a dyno comparison. can you help?

Quad said in an earlier post that they actually saw top end HP drop off above 1800 pump stretch.

ya i know
and i drove it on comp and then 2000 stretch comp. with 8.5 *100%

it still had good top end.

thats why im inquiring about the time scaling.
did it give me so much more timing low that it just feels lazy up top OR did i lose up top with the scaling.
according to quads posts and my math the timing was the same on top.

i would just like to see a graph comparing 100% 8.5* verses 85% 10* maps.
that would help i think.

So how's everyone making out with the Custom tuning? Been quiet on here lately. I personally haven't messed with mine yet.

i actually went back to 100% timing scale and just raised the pump stretch from 2000 to 2200. feels wayyyyyy better

i still want to see a graph of 100 and 85 timing scales to compare how it delivers the timing.

I told you, 2200 is where the power is. Any news yet?

Is there any way to make a tune that changes pump stretch as engine demands change. As in pump stretch 2200 till a certain rpm, then pull some of it back to say 1800 as it gets into the higher rpms to keep from loosing top end HP?

I was wondering if a guy could use only strech and not CAN fueling ? Don't they both basically do the same thing with strech able to surpas can fueling ?

I ask because it seems can fueling causes a surge that feels almost like a gas engine misfire on my truck. I also has similar symptoms with the old edge EZ.

Ok. I'm ditching my smarty for a pulse and a BD Rad. Has anybody found a tune that lights the turbo better like the smarty helps to do? Thats about the only thing i'm gonna miss after the switch. Of course bigger injectors are gonna help too..
