Called transfer flow and all they have for my year of truck is a replacement 58 gallon tank.
That cost 985 bucks.
Just wondering if anyone has tried anything else.

not to hijack but has anyone installed the transferflow 50 gal. cross-the-bed tank? they faxed me the installation instructions i requested in only one day! that tells me either they don't have much to do or they take care of business, and i would lean toward the latter based on their presence in the market. didn't mean to ramble on but it's late. i'm looking at the steel version with the trax II monitor. it looks pretty good in the pictures but i would appreciate first hand knowledge. thanks for any input and again, sorry if this represents a hijack but it was on subject.

I think the Express-UFS auxillary tank from TransferFlow looks like the best "deal". I don't have the 8 foot [long] bed, so the axle tank is not an option for me. But the Express-UFS is only $700 or so and holds 70 gallons.

Check out Northern Tool website, they have a 60 gallon tank/tool box combo that sits in the bad. Does not come up above the bed sides. They also sell a wireing/plumbing kit that hooks into you factory fuel gauge setup, w/a in cab switch.

Under Bed Fuel Tank
I purchased and underbed fuel tank for my 1999 3500. It replaced the spare tire. Cost $700 in 1999. Manufacturer/installer is Northwest Metal Products in Forest Grove, OR. Phone number is 503-359-4427. Cost included installation of tank, fuel lines, in-line filters for main tank, and auxillary tank, dash toggle switch, and fuel guage. Use of the in-line fuel filters (which need to be changed approx. every 6-months, is you can go for 60,000 miles plus without changing the main fuel filter. By the way, my truck is used for towing my 14,000 lb. fifth whee, 90% of the time and currently has 163000 miles with no problems.
