99 24V rebuild kits
buddy smoked #6 piston. cylinder wall doesnt look too bad, it can be ball and stone honed . need 99 235hp 24V new VP44 stock injectors though he's willing to look at 275's aftewr the rebuild
what we do know is he will be some major goodies
full gasket set ($600?)
ARP head studs since he is in there. ($400)
Set of pistons and rings ( may be able to just replace one piston) but is there a set of coated RV or commercial application p[istons that would be a better replacement ($600-800)
Bearings ($300)
what about brass oil cooler jets. appearently it looks like a plastic jet may have plugged up and caused the premature failure
the head will have to most likely be decked since its coming off anyways so some machine work is in order but the less money spent the better on this one while still keeping a reliable setup
I'm trying to coach him into a cam while hes at it but thats questionable depending on the budget.
Motor age 140k miles. never misused.
who has the best prices on an engine kit, what do you all recommend. i'm making some phone calls for him tomorrow to the places im familiar with but if anyone has some suggestions im open to hearing anything
motor is never going to be above 400hp so nothing too radicle but help sourcing parts and pieces would be appreciated

It comes with everything you need and all from ood companies like mahle and clevite. good customer service from them too. And it will leave a little extra money for other stuff
