Let's see some pics
How can a 7" tip make a 4" straight exhaust sound any different than a 4" straight setup with a 5" tip??????
C'mon guys don't start making your trucks resemble ricers with fat mufflers hanging out the back

trust me dude, if you put a big 7" tip on a 4" straight system, it's gonna make it sound a lot different!

I think the whole noise thing has to do with resonation. Ive had 5" stacks but my 7" are way louder.

Well that's not what I asked, but "how can a 5" straight exhaust sound any different than a 4" straight exhaust?"....hmmmm....maybe because the ENTIRE system is bigger.
Maybe a 7" TIP is louder/different than a 4", 5" or 6" TIP. I'm going off the fact that when I put my 4" straight pipe on, the 5" tip made no difference in sound, but it did add 10H.P.
Would a 10" tip be louder than a 9" tip?

most 5" systems use a 4" downpipe... why do the sound different?

a 5" tip on a 4" system might not make much difference (I'm betting it did make a slight difference)

but a 7" tip is huge, it's going to change the sound, I assure you
