6 pin planetary

How many trans experts think this is a nessasary upgrade to the 47re?
Only one of the 3 shops I talked to recommended it, and its a large $$ option so I need some help deciding.

If youve still got the truck in your sig then it has the 47re in it. I think???

Anyways Ive asked Jeff Garmon the same thing and he really likes the 47rh for the simplicity and lack of electronics.

It's not that much more once you consider the cost of tearing it back apart at a bad time. How's that for logic?

Not needed

I had talked to the big shops and they have only seen like two of them break. The planetaries are a very strong setup. Now if yours are worn out, it is a different story

The reason im asking is im trying to decide whos trans to buy.
DTT never even mentioned it so I dont imagine they do it.
For example
PDR triple lock/billet input and outputs/6 pin planetary and mystery other stuff = xxxx
DTT Single / billet input and output and mystery other stuff = xxxx
So.... with-in $200 in price im lost as I dont know the difference in the other mystery stuff each of them do and at my projected 450-500hp would I need one anyway.
Edit: just also wanted to mention
the planetaty is actually modded and machined down for bearings somehow? I dont really understand the parts so it was kind of like listening to french?

A DTT behind a 450-500hp truck won't even flinch.
