4" vs 5" MBRP
I have the MBRP 5" on my 96' I was disappointed in how quiet it was it was like I had a 5" tip on the stock exhaust.
Well not quite that quiet but close. I tossed the muffler and it sounds great.
Go with the 5".

From what I understand, you'll get more resonation in the cab with a 5" unless you go with twins. If you're staying with a single turbo I'd go with the 4". That was the recommendation I got, and I went with the 4" and a 4-5" resonator tip. It definitely sounds better with that setup. btw, I have a single turbo and probably won't be going to twins for quite awhile, hence my decision.

Right now I just cut out the muffler and cat and put in a piece of straight pipe. So I am wondering what type of sound I will get with say a 5", louder and deeper is what I want. Want people to wonder if it is a peterbilt or a train!!!! WOO HOO!!!!

There is no performance gain between 4"&5" untill you get to like 600hp. I love the sound of the 5".
