370's and dv's

Youd have a wicked low end as well. U would seriously need to get ur starwheel and ur plate in check as well tho.

I made lots of smoke on the mid to top end till I put on the HTT stage IIII compressor, now I have smoke on moderate take off tehn it clears right up, but it can be done with a stock HX. Don't know if I'd try any REAL towing or heavy loads without some sort of hybrid mod or different turbo though
I run 370's with stock 181 dv's and a #0 plate all the way forward. This is with the stock turbo, running about 31 pounds of boost. I just started smoking my clutch last night after I installed the plate. It took the previous #8 alright. I can tell you this-you can do it, but don't plan on making even a full 1/4 mile pass at full throttle, unloaded. With the #8, I was able to peg the egt gauge at 1500 for a second or two messing around at about 100 mph on the interstate, unloaded. I suspect that was partly due to having 4.10's and revving the motor up pretty good. But still, be careful.
i currently have a stock turbo with a 18cm exhaust housing 0 plate, 370's and laser dv's. daily driving it is fine but does have during moderate acceleration and smokes at take off, at full throttle it will shut down a 4 lane highway. egts are at 650* cruising empty at full throttle i'm not sure my gauge only goes to 1600* and it gets there in about 3 seconds. as far as a smoke machine heres a pic of my truck on the dyno

it is a little laggy but too bad it lights around 1800rpm wish i would have went with a 16cm but i only paid $35 for it and it keeps it cool at higher rpms. i was worried about my turbo exploding on that dyno run it can hit 55psi with no problem, but i keep my foot out of it and try not to go over 35psi. daily driving is no problem i can control the smoke and temps with my foot, the clutch is a pain in the butt though it's very grabby

The Hx 40 would probably help for right now. I've got a buddy with the same setup except he has a full B-1 and his truck can still get a little on the warm side if he really pushes it
