2wd 3500 calipers on 2wd 2500 Front= better?
2wd 3500 calipers on 2wd 2500 Front= better?
I heard from someone that the calipers on the 3500 2WD trucks are beefier than the ones on the 2500 2WD trucks.
Is this true?
If so I'll get the 3500 calipers.
Thanks in advance.

Raybestos lists the same part numbers for a 1998 2500 and 3500 front calipers. FRC 1083 (right) and FRC 1084 (left). Both trucks have the same front axle, but the 3500 has the wheel adapters. They are the same.
I got the larger roters off of a 3500 2wd Cab and Chasis ( uses a solid axle with the same ball joints and hubs as the 4x4 just no guts) and they work great. They are a lot thicker than the stock 2500-3500 They were on the truck when I got it and I found out thats what they were when I went to by new ones and the ones they brought out of the back were 1/2 as thick as the ones I had so we checked and thats what they were. Mine had a large groove that could not be turned. They were $65 each.
