Does Michelin make a 285 E, I am looking for new tires as well, I think I am gonna go back to Michelins, just dont' want the 265 stock tire. I would like to stay with the 285, just not as aggressive as my BFG M/T 285's

I think more and more manufacturers are realizing that there is a demand for 285's in a load range E. When I looked a couple years ago there were only 2, TOYO (just came out) and Nitto (thanks for the reminder merrill!).
I *know* I will be going to Toyo tires next time.
The question for me is do I go with 285s in the M55 or 315s in the M/T?
A 315 M55 would be ideal for me, but they don't make it...

Seems like 185's are getting real popular! They fiil the wheel well without getting to fat. Anyone run them in the snow? How do you like them? Any mileage loss, or is it better?
Buying tires this fall and want something taller than the stock 265.
thanks

I also see Nitto makes a couple of good looking 285's in "e" range, but theres no Nitto dealers in my area. Glad to see they are getting easier to find. Those 245's just look too small. I am running Cooper 285's in a "D" and had no issues.
