24v + p-pump
So 2day I kinda scored, I've had my 98.5 fer awhile and just recently the VP took a dump, still starts n runs, still has power, but it takes either n double d40 to start.
I was out minding my own business when I came across a Chevy suburban fer sale fer $500, when I got it home I realized that there is a "COMPLETE" 12v in the back, soooooo long story short what "all" does it take to p-pump my truck? |

Kingmike: Here is a link for you on a VP-44 to P-7100 Pump conversion from my friends at Scheid Diesel: DODGE CONVERSION KIT WITH STEEL FUEL LINES (P7100 PUMP NOT INCLUDED) :: Dodge Cummins Injection Pumps :: Injection Pumps :: Scheid Diesel You will also need a P-7100 pump but they also have those too if you are interested. -------- John_P |
You literally bought a Suburban with Cummins engine just sitting in the back? BONUS! [laugh]
|
For $500, the p-pump by itself is worth its wait in gold

John P, I was more curious about the electronic portion of the install, n perhaps where is a good shop to send my injectors to get repopped?
|
Maybe you're unknowingly supposed to mount that 12v in the Suburban..... [coffee] That would be a cool ride.
|
Lol not gonna happen

Kingmike: Scheid Diesel can easily take care of you on those injectors. They are a full service Bosch Diesel Injection Shop for any of the diesel injectors on Dodge, Ford or Chevy Diesel Engines. You can give my friend Joe Hackman a call, toll free at the Terre Haute, Indiana shop if you are interested. Here is their toll free number Mike: 1-800-669-1593. |
Thanks I appreciate it
