2003 TST PowerMax CR?

Does anybody have any info on this? The TST website doesn't say much about it other than Coming Soon. Thought I might email 'em but figure I was more likely to get a response here. This sounds like it could be THE mod for the ISBe motor, especially for those of us who so over-modded their last truck that they want to KEEP IT SIMPLE this time. ;D

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I talked to TST on Friday about this and they said that it will be out very soon, I asked if it would be within the next few weeks and she said yes, the price was between $900 and $1000. Mike

The $900 to $1000 was with the digital gauges. Mike

Mike you have it right... It's been really close for the last 3 months. Everything will be worth the long wait if it is anything like the Powermax they built for the Duramax. It should be a excelent box.

I assume the one with the built-in guages will be required for it to be able to defuel in case of high EGTs, huh? Crap, I sure hope it comes in around $800 or less... a kilobuck is a lot to have to cough up when you figure in another $900 in exhaust and airbox mods will be required to get the most out of it. Yikes.

Still, should be killer.

'Course, what's this I hear about the ISBe computer recording so much stuff that they can tell if you've so much as plugged in a fueling box??

We are _really_ looking forward to getting our paws on that PM3 CR ;D The Competition box will deliver 200 HP, all for around a thousand bucks. While this is spendier overall than current offerings, $5 a HP ain't at all bad, when you consider they will also be including a 9 level 'torque enhancement' mode. With TE, you'll also be able to dial in bottom end power to suit your needs. TST's been playing with this feature, and have been able to add 150 lbft at 950 RPM, which is awful impressive for a 24 valve engine.

We've been trying to talk Mark out of a beta version of the box, but thus far, haven't had alot of success :'(

I think we'll kidnap his dawg next

Re:2003 TST PowerMax CR?

To support the full 150, you'll definitely need clutch (if auto, probably auto work, but I'll someone more qualified on autos make that call), air, exhaust, fuel system, and probably a turbo.

As for the engine components themselves, thats a debate in and of itself, but as long as you're not into the throttle constantly, your longevity shouldn't suffer a great deal.

Re:2003 TST PowerMax CR?

I think at the higher levels, EGTs will be come very unmanageable. But my goal is to pick up 50-75 hp so I doubt I'd ever set it above Level 5 (out of 10).

I plan to do a 4" exhaust and an airbox mod of some sort (something similar to the old Psychotty), which should help EGTs. But I refuse to go any farther than that... no bigger turbos or injectors or crazy crap. I had all that on my '01 and this time I'm keeping it fairly simple.
