There is an Edge EZ in the classifieds for a 2001. Will it work properly on a 2000? Some chips/tuners advertise for 98.5-2002, but Edge has a different part# for each year.

The plugs are different. The 98.5-2000 are the same and then you get the 01 and the 02 are each different, so there are 3 different EZ's, Edge clames that the only diff is the plugs. I have put on a lot of them and I can tell you the plugs will not fit from 01 to a 00.

 

I know for sure that the edge comp will not work on different years. 98.5 - 2000 one box, 2001 same on outside different hardware on inside, 2002 same hardware as 2001 but different software. 2001 boxes can be reflashed to work on 2002, but 98.5-2000 will only work for those years. Edge told me it would be cheaper to sell a 98.5-2000 comp and buy a new one for 01 than to have the hardware replaced.
And yes, the plugs are different too.
