Ok i know nothing about the power diff. between the two trucks stock but i would also like to know is modding the 12v more expencive or cheaper than the 24v.

My goal is low 13s no nitrous or propane.

I think the second gen 12v would be cheaper and you could get more power for your buck with one. I have not owned one tho only a 24v

 

I'am with FLATBED, witch ever u find cheaper. 1st gen is lighter 2nd gen p-pump and a better trans, but harder to get at the pump and head area.

bsmotorsports. before you get confused realise that theres the 1st gen 12vs(1989-1993) with the VE pumps then there are the 2nd gen 12vs with the P-pumps (94-98) then there are the 2nd gen 24vs (98.5-01).
a 2nd gen 12v like flapper said would be the cheaper one for the buck. the 2nd gen 12vs have no elecronics to worry about, and they have the best pump for making power cheaply and reliably.
