The pulls and whole event was nice, an 89 1st GEN pulled and went about 175-200 ft (could tell it was stock or maybe minimal mods). 3rd GEN Dodge won the fastest truck at the Buck by beating out a Duramax by I think it was only 2-3 ft. That was really exciting to watch as the first time they raced it was so close they did it a 2nd time and that's when the quad cab/shortbed Dodge won (definitely a quick common-rail Cummins). DTR turnout wasn't that great I think it was only 4-5 guys. My buddy and I came, Brandon, and I think two guys from Maryland who I recognized but didn't know their names. Oh well, we can look forward to Fall Brawl now.

that 89 truck was stock i was down getting some overpriced food and he was sitting there waiting to pull and i leaned over the fence and asked him if it was stock and he gave me thumbs up and said yea.

i could tell it was stock as soon as he left, it was at about 2300 rpm lol

VE's are def low rpm pumps when stock, my buddy's boat has a 4bt with a ve and it runs 2300. gonna put a 3200 rpm spring in it soon tho.

as for me, i am an RPM freak. Sat night at the buck I left the line at 5100 rpms, and held right at 4k all the way til it pulled me down and spun out.

Life begins at around 3500 for me...thats where the charger starts to light. Anything less than that is like driving a ford.

I dig the 1st gens tho...I hope to one day build a 1st gen puller from the ground up, or put a 1st gen body on a 2nd gen chassis.
