XP SP2 Backup Question
XP SP2 Backup Question
When I use the XP "backup" to shadow my hard drive to an external drive, it asks to insert a floppy for making a startup disk. My system does not have a floppy.
Is there an alternate way to do this?

A floppy drive makes a bootable start up, or recovery disk. If you have a writable CD or DVD try to make the disk on that medium. What ever medium you use put that device in the "boot from" path. Good luck. My recover disk is a floppy.
Thanks bud,
I looked at the backup program, but couldn't find where to designate the drive. Is this done someplace in Control Panel or maybe the bios?
I wonder if it would recognize a USB floppy.
The bad part, after two hours of backing up the drive, THEN it asked for the floppy.
