Been a while since I swung through. I've been laid up
Pretty bad with an apparently inflamed disc in my upper thoracic spine. Very painful. It's tolerable right now but usually I need some fairly stiff meds to help me sleep through the pain. Don't like being all drugged up.

 

Was wondering what you were up to marc. Sorry you are laid up. Back problems are the worst. At least no snow shoveling today. Bed time for me (again). Gotta go to Homer in the AM.

 

Hey sleepy heads - - - I got up late and no coffee ready. OK, be that way. Fresh coffee, apple cinnammmuummm ph00, fresh sprinkles, cleaned the place up a bit, didn't bother the mass in the corner. Come and get it. ........

Off for a busy day at the ranch. Gotta open the gate and let the workers in to start the remodeling. Should be fun. Have a good one.

You know what I find strange? Claude can tell you he got the donuts out of a dumpster and you guys can't eat them fast enough. I tell you I got them out of the dumpster and nobody will come near them. Am I just that much more believable?

Morning all. Rain this weekend pretty well made a mess everywhere, nothing shaking today.

 

Morning everybody. Swung by much earlier and found nobody or any drinkable coffee. Thanks Bob for making something palatable. Now that you have worked so hard in opening that gate, go and take a well deserved rest for a few hours.

May need to take a quick trip to Guadalajara in a few days for a funeral. It is only a 3.5 - 4 hour drive, but hate going to funerals. Wife's 94 year old aunt is on her deathbed.

For the rest of you, today try not to get caught doing what you should not be doing. At least, pretend to be good.

Marc, know about those back pains. They suk. Hope you recover soon.

 

Sadly, it's the same incident that still has me at less than full operating capacity... If I take enough of the stuff the doc gave me I can get about 3 hours of decent sleep before the pain is back and wakes me up. I can limber up enough that I'm actually working this week but on a more relaxed post.
I just hate being this uncomfortable especially for this long. And of course with all my tossing and turning at night, pregnant Mama wasn't getting any sleep either which was a really bad thing.

Gonna put a call in to the doc in a couple hours when he opens up and see what he says. Last I talked with him a steroid treatment was next on the list to get the inflammation down.

On the brighter side, it's warming up nicely during the days now. Hitting the low 20sin the afternoons and the sun has some warmth to it. Not too bad as long as the wind stays away.

 

Faces shmaces! And I ALWAYS keep the mugs clean! In fact, I just got thru washing them out in the toilet in Top's restroom. And YES, I cleaned the toilet first! The jet stream flushing action we had to have installed in his office really gets the stains outta the mugs!

I would KILL myself if I couldn't have coffee. Really, I would!

Look, I know you're new here, but don't go givin' advice to these guys about the coffee when you obviously don't have the skills of a coffee gourmet like me! That burnt stuff is what adds flavor to the next pot and gives us our unique taste that all the people here crave.

No. Just the opposite actually. When Claude says he got them from the dumpster, he probably DID, therefore we know what we're getting into. We know YOU, on the other hand, would never lower yourself or consider getting your fingers tarnished by even getting CLOSE to the dumpster, much less actually TOUCH the thing. So there's no telling where you mighta got them donuts from!

Funny thing. I saw the chiropractor and he tweaked me all over the place and said I probably had an inflamed disc and to take it easy for a while. Come back as needed. When the pain was bad enough that I couldn't even sit in my recliner for 10 minutes, I went to the MD and the first thing he did was put me on a chiropractors table and start tweaking me the exact same way as the chiropractor....... Then he wrote a scrip for some pain killers and muscle relaxers so I could get some sleep and start getting past this.
