PHEW, I would have sure needed new BVD's for sure.
Now, why did I find that incredibly funny?
But agree on the needing new shorts

Even if they got the frame and body fixed to perfect condition, they will never get the stink out of the cab.

I'm tempted to say he was in a jack knife situation before he came onto the bridge. Hitting the bridge, he was pushed up onto the concrete guardrail and the so called "sliding" down the guardrail caused/helped the frame fail and bend.

It's just a guess going by the damage on the underside of the truck and the fuel spills down the guardrail.

Either way, it must have been an E-Ticket ride, that's for sure!!

Funny thing is, most likely that heavy loaded trailer put him there, but it also kept him from going over.....he must have bought the GOOD hitch ball

WOW!!!!!!

That must have been one heck of a ride. But just imagine.......You pooped your pants as soon as the front wheels crested the rail then you pooped again when the cab went over and suddenly stopped. By this time your plain out of poop and the only thing you could think is, My god am I going to die before someone gets here to help me. I'm sure that there was allot going through this guy mind as he's just sitting there in his poop filled seat, then finally help arrived pulled him free. That must have felt like an eternity waiting for help to arrive.

Cuto's to the rescue crew and the engineers who designed the frames and all of the body mounts for the Dodge trucks of this era.

I'm not so sure you would want the motor.

Rear sump and the motor is on it's nose. Only the guy in the truck knows if it was still running when the rig came to rest.
It certainly wouldn't be a turn key motor that's for sure. All the oil would have filled the front two cylinders....

What do you think? pro dodge or anti dodge?
The frame looks a bit rusted, it might have already been paper thin; there is also quite a bit of Bondo on the body panel.
I wonder how long he sat there dangling.
The frame defiantly has a crease in it.
This looks like a scene from the old CHiPS movie when Ponch saves him with his belt tied to a tree.

It doesn't look like those knee walls are very high either. I know some around here. especially like on the James Rive Bridge, are higher or have the metal extenders on top of the wall. That could have prevented that from getting as bad is it was. (sorry, too many years in the nuke industry and we are driven by corrective action to prevent recurrence) HUH????????????
Either the trailer is still connected or someone was watching out for him and pushing down on the back of that truck. One lucky individual for sure.
